Declutter Mission: The "master" bedroom

A look into our closet! Our next task in the challenge was to tackle the master bedroom. It just makes me smile because I think Austin's room is bigger than ours! The room itself is in good order, but, as you can see, this closet needed some work.

Declutter Mission: The craft box

I moved onto the basement today and tackled the dreaded craft box. I can't stand this box because things never fit in it and there is always a miss around it....

Not too bad, but I did find some sweet and sour chicken in the back from Feb. 2008!!!

De Clutter 2 cont...

No Pics today, just an update... I finished going through the kitchen (minus the freezer/fridge, which will be next). Luckily it seemed like we do use most things that we have, so I just had a few things for the garage sale pile.

Also worked on Austin's room and cleared out all the clothes that are too small for him and now have a whole empty drawer!

Clutter Challenge! - Project 2

Clutter Project number 2 is to clean out the kitchen cupboards and closets. I didnt have a lot of time after work and small group so I tackled the 2 food areas in the kitchen.

I must admit, I have been keeping up with things and there wasn't too much to get rid of, but a little re arranging helped me see everything much better.

This weekend I will go through all the tupperware (scary!), plates/bowls/Austins area...

Clutter Challenge!

One of the blogs that I follow, Money Saving Mom, is having a De-clutter Challenge, so I hopped on board.

Todays task was to clean out the coat/living room closet. The pictures dont do it justice, but I really did declutter, took about 10 coats and 10

pairs of shoes to the basement and filled a bag for the garage sale.

As the few of you that read this may know, I love coupons! Hence, this stockpile and the need for good storage! Yesterday I took advantage of a good deal I read about on Common Sense with Money and got the new "gorilla rack" you see above. I put it together all by myself (ok, i needed a little last minute help today from Drew and lots of help from Austin yesterday!). I was able to organize all my stuff that was overflowing the rack I had before (below). I know no one really cares about this, but I was so excited to get this little project done!

We took Austin to the Toledo Zoo to see the Christmas lights. He loved the lights that danced along with the music!

Pistons!

Danielle, Rob, Drew and I went to the Pistons game on Wednesday. Thanks Gma and Gpa G for watching Austin. The lost, but all and all it was a great night.

When we first got there we were greated by somesort of Star Wars person!

Austin Cleans

BIG THING

Now I know everyone is used to reading my little things, but this is a BIG thing in the Holt house. We took on the project of buying and installing our own storm door and it turned out great! Only one mistake, no fights and it is wonderful!

I swear the door is not crooked, must be the photographer!

its the little things catch up

1. my mom being so awesome and flexible and helping us out when I am on call...What a life saver!

2. my dad being such a trooper and managing to survive without my mother pampering him for a whole weekend
