Date (s)

I am really excited about a couple of upcoming dates on the social calendar!

First up, is mama's solo date (yup, thats me).  This afternoon I am going out, ALONE, for some me time...I am thinking bookstore and Panera (free coffee day!) cant wait....

What i am most excited about is Andrew and I's first date without Austin.  Don't get me

 wrong, we've done a lot since he's been born, but we always bring him along.  

For Christmas, my sister got us a gift card and babysitting "voucher" so we're off...

Friday we are going rock climbing at Planet Rock in AA and then to the comedy showcase downtown, I am so excited!  I have never been rock climbing and Andrew always wanted to take me, so for my birthday he gave me a gift card and we're finally getting to use it.  Even better is I am getting off work early too!

Then, Next Friday is our small group date and we're all heading to Greektown in Detroit...delicious!

And last, but really first is my sisters going away party.  She leaves for the peace corps in less than a month!

Snowmen

I am NOT taking credit for these snowmen, but I wanted you to see how adorable they are! My MOM made them, are they cute sitting on a cupcake of "snow"!?Work in Progress

We finally got our new chest freezer yesterday, so after a run to Sam's Club, I got to work!  We bought turkey burger and instead of just throwing the whole thing in the freezer like I usually do, I separated it all and froze it in one pound amounts to take out quickly in the future.  We also bought a GIANT can of kidney beans, so i am attempting to freeze those...I'll let you know how that goes.

After that I made some chili, and then I was on a roll...

Next was a loaf of homemade banana bread - and NO this isnt actually the loaf I made, mine would be missing half the bottom (which stuck to the pan)- it still tastes great though.

And then banana baby food which I froze in little ice cube trays. No this isnt what mine looks like either...isn't google great for finding pictures?

Its amazing what you can get down when your son decides to take a long nap!
